SaberLock was designed from the start to keep control of the room in the hands of the authorized person.  While active shooter emergencies are rare and dangerous,  a person looking to do harm who controls the door is also  dangerous.  

Our proprietary key is designed so that first responders can quickly open the door from the outside.  Our key fits into a Knox Box and is easy and fast. 

SaberLock can be mounted at any height on the door, but to be ADA compliant, it must be between 34 and 48 inches from the floor.  It must be capable of being opened without pinching, twisting or grasping.

When your heart rate increases, you lose fine motor skills.  The simple job of finding, orienting, and locking using a key becomes impossible under stress.   The SaberLock Activator is tactile in design and is naturally oriented in the correctly clocked position whether left or right handed.  When seconds count, we are faster than any key. 

SaberLock is designed as a temporary barricade for use in lockdown emergencies.  The  SaberLock Instinctive Egress lever is located directly above the door handle making it instinctive and fast to exit. No prior knowledge or training is necessary to exit the room in an emergency.  SaberLock can be configured for a single operation to unlatch/unlock a door, using our strike block, making  it a single linear motion to push our egress button and exit the room.  At night, or when the room is unoccupied, the door is closed and latched for fire safety..

SaberLock is built from aircraft aluminum and stainless steel, and is made in the USA.  Our device is less than the cost of replacing a door lock set.  Using a simple drill, screwdriver, and our template, anyone can install our device quickly.  Please check your local building ordinances.  Some jurisdictions may require that your door be inspected.
